YOUNG chefs can learn to make pizza, Easter eggs, cupcakes, milkshakes and even sushi during a Kids Cooking Workshop at the~ annual Gastronomica festival in Knysna during the school holidays.
The festival runs from today until next Sunday Gastronomica is a food festival where food is only one of the ingredients.
There wifi also be entertainment, music, and fashion.
The theme is From the Earth to the Plate and brings together everyone from chefs and keen cooks to farmers and farm workers who grow the ingredients.
While their parents update their culinary skills, children aged between four and 10 can don aprons for the Kids Cooking Workshop hosted by Hungry Heads Gourmet Foods.
Aside from celebrating a love of good food, the festival aims to encourage people to use ingredients that are in season.
Dishes wifi be presented that dont contain preservatives, additives, colourants, frozen or long-life ingredients or MSG.
