Knysna gastronomy THE THIRD annual Gastronomica food festival kicks off in Knysna this Sunday and runs until Monday, October 1.
Gastronomica, a food-lovers paradise of 10 days of hands-on workshops and demonstrations, kicks off with Food Theatre on Sunday.
Visitors will meet farmers and artisans from the Garden Route and Klein Karoo and sample their organic produce. Throughout the two-day theatre, there will be tastings and testings of products on sale as well as a stream of demonstrations by chefs.
~ The festival will culminate in a Chefs Gala Dinner where top South African and international chefs each plate one of the five courses. Guests will get to learn the gastronomic secrets of these culinary wizards, and enjoy quality brandy and wine while being entertained.
