And a passion for food is what brings people together every year during Gastronomica.
The Food Theatre Market Day gives members from the community an opportunity to showcase their products, skills and talents, creating a meaningful and sustainable lifestyle for the Knysna community. Gastronomica also encourages original tastes and textures, fresh and in-season foods that are free of toxins and sprays, pesticides, colourants, additives and preservatives – with 11 local restaurants committed to serving food within these guidelines.
There will be live entertainment, fun kids’ events, chocolate tasting and food workshops where you can learn how to make sushi and pair single malt whisky with selected food dishes to achieve mouthwatering harmony. Other highlights are the symphony orchestra and craft market that is followed by the ‘A Feast with Intrigue’ gala evening on Saturday.
